In the vibrant digital landscape of Kosovo, where social media is involved in every aspect of daily life, figuring out if those ads really work is key for businesses trying to catch the eye of customers. Terra took a deep dive into this digital jungle with a survey to see how people use social media and to see the effectiveness of ads on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more, in Kosovo.

What's Trending in Social Media Usage

Our survey revealed that Instagram steals the show when it comes to social media, with a staggering 98.5% of respondents actively engaging on the platform, closely followed by Facebook (73.8%) and YouTube (76.9%) leaving TikTok trailing slightly behind at 64.6%.

When it comes to usage frequency, the survey shows the integral role of social media platforms in daily routines, with a significant majority (100%) accessing these platforms multiple times a day.

Furthermore, over half of the respondents (55.4%) spend 3-4 hours per day on social media, highlighting the extensive engagement within these digital spaces.

Interactions with Brands and Businesses

It is fascinating to see how often the audience engages with brands and businesses on social media platforms. A noteworthy portion of respondents (52.3%) indicated frequent engagement with business accounts through likes👍🏻, comments✌🏻, shares🙌🏻, etc.

This highlights the significance of establishing a strong digital presence for brands seeking to create meaningful connections with their audience.

Effectiveness of Social Media Ads

With social media's constant changes, businesses sometimes wonder if those ads are even worth it. But guess what? Our survey says they are! Our data unveils a compelling narrative, with an astounding 93.8% of respondents acknowledging making purchases after encountering social media ads. This underscores the pivotal role of targeted advertising in shaping consumer behavior.

Creating generic social media ads isn't sufficient. Respondents emphasized the importance of ads tailored to their interests. Factors such as visual appeal (78.5%) and promotional offers (64.6%) emerged as pivotal in influencing engagement with ads.

In terms of effectiveness, the majority of respondents rated social media ads between 3 to 4 on a scale of 1 to 5, indicating a moderate to high effectiveness in driving purchase decisions. However, there remains a segment (13.8%) who perceive these ads as ineffective or minimally impactful.

Ad Overload or Just Right?🧐

Opinions on ad frequency were mixed. Almost half (49.2%) feel bombarded by ads on their feeds, while nearly the same number (47.7%) think there are just enough. It's a tricky balance for brands—getting seen without annoying the audience in the digital landscape.

Conclusion

As Kosovo's digital landscape keeps evolving, businesses need to be smart about social media ads to grab their audience's attention. Understanding how people use social media and what they like or dislike about ads can help brands make ads that really hit home. It's all about staying authentic and making waves in this wild digital sea.
